Basic Information
Your Name or Alias:
Felaion (Alias)
Your Age:
19
Your Location:
Surrey, England
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I'm a Student, currently based in Surrey after having taken a year out. Come September, and with a little good fortune, I'll be logging in from a vastly different region of the country. (Hopefully Bangor [North-West Wales] *crosses fingers*) I'll be going to study Biology, and as an understandable result, can't promise the highest level of activity, but I would like to think I can offer a mature attitude towards roleplaying.
Your Character
Character Name:
Sligo
Character Class and Spec:
Priest
Holy/Disc (Healing) Main-Spec.
Disc/Holy (DPS) Off-Spec. [Don't laugh... it's strange and unreliable to be a Smiter, I know. But I enjoy it, it fits the character, and it's fun... which is the point, isn't it?]
Character Professions:
Herbalism
Inscription
Character Background:
I understand that this is an application, and I probably should have a Character Background written up allready, only I'd like a chance to bounce an idea against your lore before I write somthing up. That's not to say I don't have ideas... I'd just like to be able to present somthing that fits comfortably with your loa, image and lore for the benefit of all around me. I'd like to also add that the character I'd be playing would be transferred from another server (EU-TVC), and is currently level 48.
Concentrating on the Professions and the dual-spec of this character, I intend to focus on the Holy magic, and herb-grinding to write magical sigils and drawings, aspects of the character in a roleplaying situation. I do not intend this to be in any kind of 'arcane' sense, but hopefully in fitting with the traditions of trolls in general, being a crude sort of ritual. Since I havn't found any summarisation of your loa, here's where I need some aid, but my intent is to create a character that follows one (or perhaps two) specific loa above the rest. This would be signified in dual spec - praying/performing a ritual to one gives healing ability, the other fighting ability.
I imagine that's not all too clear, so I shall summarise. RP Hooks and small details should come shortly, (with your help!), but this character would be designed around a Prophet/Fortune Telling/Oracle style of character, studiously devoted to one or two loa and their worship/attention. His main key feature would be a deck of magical (tarot-style) cards, which would be a key asset to his magical abilities, both in fortune telling and fighting.
Your WoW History
Your previous guilds and why you left them:
Here's a kicker - I've never really been part of a guild on WoW. Although I've been playing the game for a very long time, I could only really claim to have been part of the Holy Lightbringers about 5 years ago. I left for my studies, and always opted to go it without a guild for some reason or another. Mostly because my character never suited the guild, so I wouldn't even apply.
Your responsibilities in previous guilds:
Although I've never held responsibilities in guilds as such, I have been/still are an Officer for The Company of the Black Thorn (a trans-game 'guild' of sorts). I've also been very active in running, writing, organising and planning all sizes of RP events in games such as WoW, LOTRO and CoX. However, I intend to take a step back from such things almost entierly - I'd like to play, not organise.
Frostmane Hold
Why have you chosen to apply:
I instantly like the look of the Guild and what you seem to be offering, in drama-free, relatively small-scale community roleplay with a rich lore history and a good structure. Reading through what I can on your forums, I'm more and more inspired.
What can we offer you as a guild:
A friendly atmosphere, company, organised roleplay and hopefully a few laughs!
What can you offer us:
A mature attitude towards roleplaying, a rich background and understanding of lore, but more importantly - a willingness to support your efforts as best I can.
Did you read and accept the Rules and codes of conduct thread?
I did. No complaints, I agree with everything I'm accepting! *Has an urge to pat the guild leader's pet anyway, though. MUST RESIST!*
