Basic Information
Your Name or Alias:
Robin Hofman. Call me Rob. (Alot do.) Or be creative!
Your Age:
Nineteen.
Your Location:
The Netherlands.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I live in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, a medium town in the east of the country. I like it here. Peaceful enough, with city aspirations. A nice mix. Just like me.
I love reading. Especially Stephen Donaldson, Terry Pratchett and Robert Jordan. I love laughing, and making other people laugh. Furthermore I like watching movies. But my best hobby is listening to music. It’s my bible, and my biggest influence.
I study Journalism. Which I will do for the coming year still, whereas afterwards I will be going to the University of Utrecht. Science of Literature has caught my eye, and I’m doing everything to get a spot in that education. My true aim is becoming a Journalist, but more in the column corner of the job.
I am not a religious person, but I do believe. If you are curious for any reason, just ask me and I will explain.
My heroes are my dad, Maynard James Keenan and Andrew Schwab.
And that’s something about me. I’m a casual gamer who has just returned to WoW. I find a nice mix between real life and gaming as relaxation.
Your Character
Character Name:
Tinijah
Character Class and Spec:
Warrior. Spec may vary over time, but mostly defensively oriented.
Character Professions:
Will link this to the RP character itself, not yet decided.
Character Background:
Hard one. If this application without a character background does not count, then I will have to write quickly! Haha. No. Tinijah is a longtime character, and I've played alot with him. He just needs to be adjusted to the guild, and that requires time.
Your WoW History
Your previous guilds and why you left them:
Bunnies of Carnage (Vashj): My own, non RP guild. Had a fun time in it, and made some staying friendships there. Managed to get some Humor-RP’ish stuff on a non-RP realm. Left because I didn’t want to dualplay RP/Non-RP, and focus on RP fulltime. Had about a three hundred members at its peak, with more than fifty members online each day.
Council Of The Oak (Earthen Ring): RP Guild. The first one I joined. Left because of a leadership switch, and some core members leaving for other duties besides World of Warcraft. It didn’t make the guild prettier. Been part of this guild for over two years.
Defenders of Mulgore (Earthen Ring): Tauren only guild. The last RP guild I was in, before I went on hiatus with World of Warcraft.
The Bloodraven Murder (Earthen Ring): My own RP blood elven thievery guild. Left because guild leading is a tough job!
Ascension (Vashj): Raiding guild, non-RP. (Hence the server.) Zul’Gurub, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and Ahn’Qiraj. Went into Naxxramas once before quitting the raiding stuff.
Lobotomy (Earthen Ring): Used to be an intensive RP guild, but slowly weakened over time. Other members were real life friend of each other so I was kind of an outside. With the decay of RP, I left.
Keko (Vashj): Short time. Killed C’Thun with these guys though. Quite an intense raid force. Left because the raiding schedule proved to be impossible for my persona after a week.
Purple Vortex (Earthen Ring): Tiny RP guild.
Bad Morning (Zenedar): My own non-RP guild on Zenedar, Bunnies of Carnage style. Left because my best friend who was co-leading quitted WoW.
Furthermore there’s been a Russian Zul’Gurub raiding guild I joined. I was the only outsider and the only one not speaking Russian. Fun time for me. These guys were hardcore. I couldn’t understand them, but I knew the drill of the raid. Didn’t roll for anything as I was fully geared in Dragonstalker on my hunter. I just wanted to enjoy the instance. I do not remember the name; it was quite weird.
Also I’ve been active in The Chillwind Covenant on Earthen Ring, an alliance of RP guilds to keep the RP alive and breathing.
Last, I’ve been active on The Sha’Tar, Moonglade, Argent Dawn, Draenor and Emeriss servers too.
And...there must be alot more that I've forgotten.
(Experience spans from WoW Béta till this very moment, with the exeption of my large break)
Your responsibilities in previous guilds:
- Guild master for ‘Bunnies of Carnage’, ‘Bad Morning’, ‘Bloodraven Murder’, and two tiny guilds ‘Blackbox’ and ‘The Jokers’.
- Replacement Raid Leader for Ascension. (Molten Core, Zul’Gurub and Blackwing Lair mostly.)
- Hunter Class Leader for Keko. (Very shortly. I guess they knew me somehow, they placed me very high from the start.)
- Organisatory roles in Defenders of Mulgore, Council of the Oak, Purple Vortex and in the Chillwind Covenant.
Frostmane Hold
Why have you chosen to apply:
I read the your post on the official World of Warcraft forums. I like creative minds. Furthermore, I want to make my return to World of Warcraft worthwile.
What can we offer you as a guild:
Friendship. A social enviroment. Fun. Cozyness. Happiness. Good RP. Just...everything! (I am easy to please, though! But it múst be cozy!)
What can you offer us:
All of the same that I just mentioned at the previous paragraph. Just whitness me! I dare you! Haha.
Please, feel free to ask more! I am dedicated, willing to adapt or do anything. In the end I am just trying to find a new home on World of Warcraft.
Thanks for your time,
And a hearty goodbye from my end,
Rob
